I'm studying for a BSc in biomedical science through the open university. It is part of an apprenticeship scheme with a major, international pharmaceutical company. I will ahve 3 years lab experience by the end and i am predicted a 2:1.

Can you tell me the chances of me getting a PhD placement?

Your chances are good. Talk to the pharmaceutical firm that's running your current scheme and see what options they may beb able to offer. Industrially funded studentships usually pay better.
