Hope you enjoyed the pub Batfink, you definately don't need to justify taking a bit of time to relax on a Friday evening!

This morning my goal is to get 2 pieces of transcription done.

I hate being stuck in working when it's so lovely outside!

My aim for this morning is to organise all of the notes from the publications I've read. Not fun!

I've just had a huge fight with my bf this morning and he's left for the day. Now my head is spinning and I'm really upset but the plan was to go into the office for the day. So I'm going to have a cup of tea, some chocolate and then try to motivate myself to go into the office.

Goal 1 - get to the office before 12.30

That's rubbish Ev! - much chocolate necessary. hubs has gone off to go to the football, and I've eaten his easter egg in return (up)

I was going to do loads of work today, but so far just walked the dog, watched true blood and eaten the easter egg with tea.

Had 2 emails from sup this morning - I personally think she shouldn't send emails at the weekend cos it makes me feel like i MUST be doing work. Its the weekend! But anyhow, I am going to try and get at least one analysis done today.

i've got a bit of a headache though and the dog is looking a bit annoyed because its so sunny outside.

Well done star-shaped!

I've finished organising publication notes, and my notes from books this morning yay.

Next goal for the day is to organise my notes from journal articles and then start typing them up before the grand national.

But some cheese on toast first!

Ev, did you manage to get into the office? Well done if you did :)

I put £2 on snowy morning - I liked the name because i like snow :p

I have also put £1 on the lib dems winning the election, it was about 301/1 so if they did I'd get £300 woop woop! I know its unlikely :-s I also put £1 on his team winning today, but if they do I only get 36p back haha, well £1.36.

I have to be quite careful with this though. I have a william hill online account and I have to be very strict with myself. Hubby actually banned me at one point, I get quite addicted to gambling.

Well done Button (up) And Sneaks I hope your headache clears up soon!

Unfortunately I haven't made it into the office. I feel pretty rubbish and have spent a great deal of the day crying and generally freaking out a bit.

I think it's a combination of the fight this morning (which had been brewing for a few weeks anyway) and panic about my project. I'm 8 months in now and have not managed to do anything useful. I have wasted the last month because I am so overwhelmed by what I'm supposed to be doing that everytime I sit down to work my stomach is in knots and I don't have a chance of focusing. I can't even make it in to the office due to nerves for Christ's sake.

I have a deadline coming up this week that I'm supposed to have lots of stuff organised for but have nothing much to show for it. It's not a writing assignment, actually writing is the only thing I actually seem to be any good at. Anyway, there's nobody to help and to be honest there's not much I can do about it at the weekend. So I had intended to spend today in the office to get myself as prepared as I possibly could so that bright and early on Monday morning, I could snap into action and miraculously get everything sorted. But I have done no work today. Bf is due home soon - cue round 2 :-(

Ev, have a break - its very important. And to your '8 months in' - PAH! I completely wrote off my ENTIRE 2nd year sitting in front of the tv all day - and that is NO exaggeration!

Yes, breaks are very important! I realise I've been expecting too much of myself, so ended up doing absolutely no work yesterday. A little scared by how much I now have to do in three days, but I'm sure I'll be better for the break.

Today's goals: finish the section of my lit review that I started on Friday, and aim to get about half way through the next section.

I have achieved my first goal, and am rushing towards meeting my second goal. Yay, progress at last!

My goals for the rest of today:

1) Get ready to present a practice run of my conference presentation to research group tomorrow.

2) Prepare for a supervisory meeting that follows afterwards.

Not much, but it is a Sunday.
