Maybe it's because my user name is long, I do not fully understand this internet forum business, but I have no post delete button. If I start a thread, I can delete my 'thread post' but not general posts I make on other other threads. Is there anything I can do about this?

I've never been able to delete my posts in normal threads. I don't think it's a facility on this board.

Personally I think that's a good thing. You can edit your post, if you really want to remove what you said. But it stops people deleting willy-nilly, and leading to incomplete/confusing threads as a result.

I have PM'd Wally regarding the matter, but yes, if you read the sticky thread Sascha wrote about this matter, you will understand a little more.

We appreciate sometimes people want to retract statements, but this is an anonymous forum, and you choose what information you share with other users. To selectively delete once people have began a discussion would make a totally uninformative thread and therefore useless one.

Please try to refrain from deleting anything you write as this is what builds the Forum content and makes it useful for others.

Thanks for the clarification. I was just asked kindly by someone to remove one of my posts, not because it was nasty or anything.
