Do you include a CV/Resume with your submitted thesis?
Just a simple question, but I haven't come across this on the forum/in books. I take it your internal and external examiners look at your CV in conjunction with your thesis, to see publications/research experience? Or would your supervisor just send your CV to potential externals when trying to get them onboard?

No CV required at my uni either, but one of the pages they suggested including at the beginning of the thesis was a 'The Author' page, which had a brief description of my academic career. It read something like:
"The Author completed a BSc in XXX at XXX University in 2000. This was followed by an MSc in XXX at XXXX University, completed in 2005. The Author then began a PhD at XXX University under the supervision of Dr XXXX and Prof XXXXX."
I didn't mention my published paper on this page, I mentioned this at the end of the relevant chapter in my thesis like this:
"A version of this chapter was published in the Journal of XXXX:" followed by the reference. I didn't mention publications from before I started my PhD.
However, none of this was compulsory, just suggested.

No CV at my university. And the thesis is judged on its own merits there. Examiners were not aware of publications or wider research experience. Thesis + viva is what is examined. Not your CV.

Thanks all for your responses. That makes sense and seems more fair; that the thesis should stand on its own merit. I think I got the wrong impression when people mentioned publications improving a thesis's chances of passing, since it suggested the work was critically sound if others were willing to publish it already. But, as Smoobles said, you can simply reference yourself in that case.

Oh, in one of my discussion chapters, I included a few reflective paragraphs on how my professional background (and educational specialism) may have influenced the stance and theoretical argument of my PhD, but not a formalized CV.
No CV, only thesis and viva.
The only thing I've heard of is papers being included in an appendix or addendum at the back, but even this is not essential as the examiners are only interested in thesis and you viva is about defending that.
