My university's library does not allow students to share online books with others. It is a bit different to articles from Academic Journals, which are fairly easily downloaded as pdf.s and shared. I'm not sure why but I think this might be because single articles from a non-profit academic journal, while not exactly public property, are regarded rather like public information and are accessible to all either online through formal membership-or in hard copy (to read and photocopy) to any person visiting the library-whether a member or not.

Sorry not to be able to assist this time. Given this is a reference book, does your local library membership allow you to access this from its online resources?

It really beggars belief that you think people are daft enough to fall for this.
I was particularly impressed by the joke under FAQ where you advise people to switch off both anti virus and firewall before downloading files from you.
A real rib tickler that one.

Well, even if you are away from just a simple THANK, I still wish to help you, because this forum had invaluable contribution to my thesis. Guys, just try to download (and scan against viruses with any of your favorite antivirus) to have the book. What a paranoid being we have become! I uploaded the file to a file hosting site that showed up on Google search.

No I am not kidding. You are asked to turn off your firewall and disable your anti virus before downloading the document.
If you do and a virus or trojan horse is placed on your machine I can assure you that subsequently scanning with an antivirus will not be guaranteed to detect and/or clean it.

People can make their own minds up but "brave" would certainly be one way of describing it.

Dear, I have no relation with this "file hosting" site and I never turn my antivirus off even on my Mac.
Well, anyways, I'll pleased if you can at least check the paper I need.
