A research topic for MRed

A

Good afternoon all,
My name is Awn and i am new to this forum. I am a Chartered Certified Accountant by profession. Around two weeks ago i submitted my MRes application to Western Sydney university (Aus) along with a research proposal. Apparently no supervisor seems to be interested to supervise me. I got an email from the lady in Research School that if a supervisor is not found, my application will be rejected. I am devastated by that email. I satisfy all the entry requirements of the MRes program but still waiting for the supervisor. I must add that people i have spoken to in Business School of WSU are rude and are not willing to help in anyway.
I would request from all of you if you can suggest any good research topic in accounting/finance so that i can resubmit my proposal and find a supervisor. I forgot to mention that i proposed the following topic "How accountants and finance professionals can adapt and implement cloud computing and digital payment systems in business processes while minimising cyber threats to businesses they serve?
I am willing to change my research topic based on the recommendations of you guys.

I am from the UK so don't know the exact details of Aussie funding.

Do you have your own funding? That changes the dynamics significantly. If you need funding you generally have to stick to their research areas. Generally supervisors want students that match their research interest and you can find that out by internet stalking them or emailing them individually. They more likely to be polite if you try and engage them individually.

Not an accountant but that research topic sounds very ambitious. I see, cloud computing, digital payments and cyber threats which are each huge topics and make your proposal look too big for an MRes. I would narrow the criteria by dropping one of them or focusing on a specific sector, so that is manageable in a 1/2 year time frame.
