Know just where you are coming from on the panic stakes... I just see the deadlines whooshing by and really need to have two chapters done by end of Feb if I can... I am back in full time work at the start of March and life will just get incredibly demanding again! I think you are right about splitting your focus - I have that problem too I call them my procrastinations and after this I am thinking of writing a cartoon booklet on procrastinations of a doctoral student that I have loved! Dont know how you have faired lately - hope things are getting better? I know I am going to have to just get strict with myself and shut the door and see what can be accomplished in 2 hourly blocks when I can. Take care of yourself and look forward to the update

Hi ... I'll join the struggle for a 6month countdown... though the power dynamic going on between and my frequently absent supervisor may put pay to that... Currently battling like many perhaps with the post christmas lethargy and needing to finish a chapter ASAP. I have 2 more chaps to finish then I might have something like a first full draft - Hopefully it will get easier from here on in? This stage has been dreadful. All the best everyone!

Hi ! Hang on in there is my advice and remember all the reasons why you want to complete! My family cant relate at all to what I am struggling with - they seem to believe I can switch the ability to write on and off... in reality it takes me often a week to get going with it all again... but as I persist it comes... good luck!
