Hi!!
I´m from South America and studied biochemistry at The University of Buenos Aires (a public university, and at the same time one of the most renowned in my country). The course of studies lasted for 6 complete years (minimum time of completion) including a one-year orientation course with specific subjects related to a special field selected by the student and a three-month internship in a hospital (that is done while you attend regular classes)
I´m planning to do a PhD in Europe and that is why I’d be grateful if someone could tell me the equivalences of my course of studies as I know that the courses are much shorter there and, in most cases, a Master´s degree is needed to start a PhD.

Hello to everyone!! my name is Tony, I studied biochemistry and I´m from Argentina. I am planning to do my PhD in health sciences or molecular biology in Europe (for example in the UK). I tried searching for papers on topics of my interest and then investigating its authors so I could find the right director for my PhD. I also searched by institute to get to know their scientists and their publications. However, I couldn´t find anything concrete so I´d be very grateful if you could give me some tips on how to find the right director and the right project for me.
Besides, I´d really appreciate it if someone could tell me how can I get to know "who are the best" or the most important research groups in a specific research area.

Hello, thank you for the info but I have a question: is the H index the only way to measure the quality of a particular researcher? and, where can I find it?. Besides, is there an index to measure the quality of an individual publication?
