Picture books are excellent. Go to the children's section of a good bookshop and ask for advice. Clothes are always welcome (especially by parents) Choose something practical that you would dress your own child in (if you had one). Choose 6 months bigger and suitable for season at that time. Try Adams, Mothercare, ELC, etc.

Juno re. lentils - don't get them from supermarket, but from Asian shops. Its much cheaper.

You are feeling emotional, understandably. Take a breath and reflect on an objective strategy which doesn't harm you or your relationship with supervisors. Do you not have an annual review board where you can talk to someone (mentor, senior unconnected member of staff) confidentially about this situation?

These things do happen. Is perhaps your main supervisor inexperienced or lacking in confidence, and looking for approbation from second supervisor?

It depends upon your supervisors. Estimate a time and add 50% to it to allow for changes, amendments, flaws in argument and summaries etc. The more supervisors you have, the greater the conflict of representation. It always takes much longer than you anticipate.

If this was done formally, there should be a paper trail in your favour. If not, then its difficult.
