Well joyce your problem sounds like mine. But for me I had a supervisor expert on this topic but left half way through. So another supervisor took me on but is expert in other topics. So I yeah i think i will take the ideas which i agree with on board and then leave the rest the way i have it.
Hi Sre292.. the thing is. Thats what i done to start with, and i am meant to be having my moc viva next month. But one of my supervisors after reading my chapters has a totally different idea of how chapters should look, and where certain things should go. I have not much time to change things all over again , but i understand him in some ways. I dont want to upset either of them :S...aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ...lol
Oh yeah and i have an advisor but my supervisor does not want me to include them becuase they think it would confuse matters.. so its all headache at the moment
It depends on what other things you have going on in your life. we all have different ways of writing. For me i sometimes write time tables or put slots in my diary but you know what?!! that never works, it might for a day or two but in most cases i am either distracted by something or i have to sort something out. Its not easy. But i suggest that you maybe could have an aim for each day. So for example aim to finish a particular section in this day and try best you can to meet it regardles of what other activities are going on around you. I do that sometimes and it works.
I agree with sneaks, we all go through this. Everyone i know who was doing a PhD has said they wanted to quit at some point. But you realise that we are all in the same boat.
You need to organise your thoughts on a piece of paper, study one thing at a time (not all together because thats when you break down). Dont look at everything you still have to do, just look at what you are doing at hand. And dont think about the time either .. just get on with it and do it.
I'm meant to be nearlly finishing but i am still having problems, its on going in the PhD world, but some days will be really good and other days not so good and some really bad.. lol... especially when you have to go into labs and repeat your experiment over and over again lol.
You see we are making out replies as long as your original message.
Anyway keep your head up and you can do it
I Sent to one of them an email last night telling them that im getting confused because they dont agree with each other :p but i think the email i sent was ignored because i got a reply but for something totally different lol. So i guess its like saying " ge on with it" !!
Do you guys have results and discussion together or seperately?
