am in one month old into my Phd and my sup keeps giving me three page write ups asks me to choose deadlines. last week i told him one week but after reading for one week i needed one more week i send him email and he told me he is not surprised. this week goal to review theories informing my study.........let me see if i finsidh by saturday

I have published two papers in different journals using same literature. but fundamental changes ave to be made in the methodology and the theoretical framework. adding new literaature is essential. for sneaks i used same introductory statistics coz some things cant change but can get latest statistics

hey guys am coming to uk on a university funded Phd studentship. Though so many questions on the job description. do you ave to be in office monday to friday? am doing my own project but they said i will be involved in other research activities and some teaching.

accomondation do i stay outside compus or inside the halls
do i do flatshare or studio.

dont do a Phd if it does not interest u. i turned down funding in a top uni coz i didlike the area and the supervisors but got middle uni en took the funding coz the supervisor was interested in my project

i did my interview on telephone the other day. the panel was from marketing with one potential supervisor in accounting. i was given the studentship and i didnt even expect. i ave background in hospitality management but am going to managerial accounting. but with Mres u should be more qualified. the panel shud ave dealt with ur proposal if u had one. the surest way to impress panels is the proposal. dont ask coz u had undue advantage over others based on info from ur supervisor. again whats the profile of those who got the studentship.

it went ok although i freaked out on first question. it was all bout my proposal. let me wait en see the results. i dont know how long it will take. i answered all the questions to satisfaction.

I had applied for phd studentship in management accounting in a Uk university and I have been invited for 30 min. telephone interview. i had previusly discussed my prop with the prof heading the research. he was interested in my project. the only setback is that my background is not in accounting but hospitality. but my publications and msc. thesis are on performance measurement in hospitality industry. I do teach at a public university in my country. what are some of the questions to expect for a Phd studentship? will they ask me about the UK general information abt UK like which one if any. will there be an aptitude test on the phone? please kindly help me out.
