The situation is going to be even worse during the winter...

Personally, after paying rent, heating, bills and gas for the car (which I cannot stop using, as my work is not close to my house), I end up with 10 euros left for food and other expenses....

After 10 years of work and of being financially independent from my family, I will have to ask for their help.... (And I am lucky because they can help up to a point as they are both pensioners....)

I'm really sorry for this post. but I have to share it with you.

I heard on the radio today that in Greek schools students are fainting because of hunger....

With unemployment rates up to 20% (in some areas they reach 80%), with salaries dropping to 800 euros per month (they were 1200), with 5% (at least) inflation, and with politicians saying "we have to take new financial measures", I don't know what the future holds for us Greeks.............

After a few days away from the forum (not from "real" and PhD work though) here I am!

Although it quite late now (here it is 7:15 already) I have been working on my thesis since 2 o'clock (just after I finished my "real" work)...
I was trying to find a way to structure my third analysis chapter....Still haven't found it.....

To tell you the truth, I don't know how easy it is to find a paper from 1984.....Maybe you should ask your uni library to find it for you

I am Greek, living and working in Greece and I am doin a part time PhD in UK. I travel there every 3 months for a week and I have my supervisions...
Now I'm in my foyrth and final (???) year

Goal accomplished...
Chapter is finally finished...Now I have to wait for sups' feedback and then work on it again and again and again...
But I have to take one step at a time...So, first step is taken!!!!

(Does anybody understand what I am saying? I am womdering that after so many hours of "real" work and PhD work, I am just translating Greek into English I my writing is not making any sense.....Sorry if that's true.........)

I had a long weekend visiting my 95-year-old gran who lives alone (yes ALONE) in another city, I am back!
So, after finishing my "real" work, now I am sitting down to do some PhD-work...

So, first goal:
Polish analysis chapter.....

Just got back from "real" work....
I feel really tired, because we had new children in today and I had to deal with many new cases and assess many of them...

Now I think I will rest for an hour or so, and then I will start working again.

So, goals for today:
1) REST

2) Write abstract for conference

3) Send abstract

PhD day starts now for me, as I went for a coffee after work (I really need these small breaks).

So, today I will continue working on 2nd analysis chapter (I know I have been working on it for a lot of days!!! I just can't seem to be able to finish it...)

So, after alomost 7 hours (out of which 1 was at the gym) I managed to finalise my methodology chapter!!!!

It's 9 o'clock here, so it' stime for me toi turn my computer off!

I took the weekend off, as I have decided that weekends are for rest!

So, for this week:
1) Finish (finally!) second analysis chapter
2) Polish methodology chapter (almost done)
3) Start third analysis chapter

My reserach is only qualitative.
I have given pseudonyms to my participants and when I am writing a quote, a use their speudonym, thei role, gender and age group e.g.

All of my participants agreed that chocolate is very healthy (I wish!!!)
