There is NHS bursary funding for a capped number of part-time undergraduate health care students. For students starting Sept 2017. This includes Adult Nursing at Oxford Brooks University. It looks like course fees are not funded though? So need a student loan.
Take a look at the following web page and scroll down to 'New undergraduate part-time courses'.

I asked my supervisor if it would have been ok to audio record my presentation and questions for developmental reasons. They said yes, Of course, I would have checked first with the people in the room that this was ok. I wish I had recorded this.
Can I audio record my Viva? Will there normally be a chairperson at an MRes viva?
I should have also mentioned my research idea is cross disciplined. I could have researched the MRes idea in two very different schools at my university. I was able to take a module in the other school as a module option. I can see it may have been a communication issue. I need to spell everything out in my thesis. I will take time discussing in detail my employment background and relevant experience and relate it to my thesis.
I presented my research recently, I'm an MRes student. One of the markers marking my work asked me if I'd heard of a particular author. I said I had not heard of that author before but I continued to discuss that I have read papers on a very related and connected subject. The marker did not ask me if I was aware of the particular aspect they were referring to. It was an aspect that is covered by many authors. The feedback from this maker was that I was unaware of wider debates in the area.
This makes me quite annoyed as I recently asked a doctor/consultant if he had heard of an author in his field of medicine. He replied, "no, are they American?." At no point did I assume the consultant was unaware of debates in his field of medicine.
How can that marker assume so much?, they didn't read my written work before marking me and I never got to meet them in person. I have so many questions about how these academics mark work and I am now starting to question academia in general. I have been advised by the course leader the feedback sheet is the discussion and that's it, it can't be discussed further. (Unless I make a formal complaint, I guess)
That presentation feedback for my masters the marker that gave me the lower mark is very unhelpful. It doesn't say anything constructive or developmental. The marker was a last minute replacement, I didn't get to meet them in person as they arrived late and left straight after my presentation. I am disappointed with the communication at my university, it's amateur compared to my previous university. I feel if I make a complaint it will impact on my final overall grade.
I got the grade for one of my masters modules recently, a presentation, marked by two people. I got to see each marker grade. This was a mistake and I have been told I should have only got to see the combined agreed grade. There is a difference of 8.5% between the two marks. It's made me think about how subjective grades can be. Apparently, the difference has been known to be much bigger than 8.5% for some other students.
Re.
This sounds like an admin problem not a supervisor experience problem? Of course you should have been informed of the assignment and deadline, but whose role was it to do that - the admin team or lecturer of that module? Are there two separate issues here?[/quote]
Hi thanks. The assignment was an initial part of the research process. So not part of a separate module with a lecturer.
Hi cml147, thanks. They are my only supervisor. I don't have that long to go now as I finish this year. I have met my supervisor only twice, the rest of the contact has been via email. The first meeting was to say hi and introduce myself and my ideas, so not much supervision.
Hi, thanks. I wasn't informed of a deadline for one assessed piece of work. No written or verbal notice of this deadline or the assignment. I received an email from the admin team asking where was my submitted work on the day it should have been submitted. It was the first I'd heard of the assignment and the deadline. It's an MRes. I had queries about the supervision from the start as mentioned, not just on hearing they are a recent graduate.
Hi, I am studying for my research masters and I found out this week my only supervisor passed their PhD vivia a few months before they became my supervisor. I was not made aware of this and my supervisor was chosen for me. I'm not sure what to think of this as I already had questions about the supervision. Any thoughts, please? many thanks.
