Hey sneaks,
I am super jealous..you actually have your whole draft .. what I would give for that;-)...anyway I hope you have got round all the bends you had to.. Im sure it will all fall into place.. even at staples:-)...now dont dissappear from here just cause your goal is complete.. some of us are barely there.... all the very best (up)
Hi Stoll,
I spend my breaks exactly like you , either exercising(I will usually cheekily extend the break to 15/25 min if I want to do this), but if it's 5 - the list includes... get more fruit, vist this forum , make another warm drink, stare out the window...there are endless uses for 5 minutes- I do look foward to them....(mince)
Thank you everyone for the responses, I feel loads better about it..I take on board what you say sneaks .. its my first draft so I will leave it as is....
by the way would it be really strange if I had my theoretical framework first? The reason is that alot of my 'new contribution' to my field in this research is tied to how I have implemented the framework??????????:-)
Again I am ever so grateful for the advise (up)
hey Elmo and Caro... I know exactly what you are going through because I had to move a long way when I started my Phd to the smallest town that should even be allowed call itself that ever!!! the key is to get involved in other stuff besides phd work .. take up an random activities....like fencing for example.... I made a really good friend through this, also speak with your sups. to see how much time you actually need to physically be at the Uni. it may turn out that besides term time you dont actually have to live over there and as you get nearer to the end of the course if you show them that you can work independently then they may let you move back to family and friends because in this process you need all the support you can get and they know that.. thats what I did!!......I dont know what else to say... keep coming on the forum as well! it really keeps you going ...discussing with other people(albeit virtually) they become your virtual support family ... anything you will go through I guarantee someone on here has been through the same if not worse....
All the very best and look at it in a positive way .. it's a new experience and the best you can do is learn from it

hey sneaks well done on the research job.... I would say sign up for it ... and as delta suggested keep you eyes peeled for a more permanent position ... at the end of the day you need to look out for NO.1 if you left a research team there is always 20 other researchers that can be brought in, it will not ne the end of the world .... I think thats how you could look at it ????;-)
hiya sneaks,
I would end with structure of the thesis it just ties in the project well for the reader and one of my examiners told me that people like to kow what to expect as they have this whole thing to read in front of them...
anyway I am cleaning my one up tomorrow .. I literally cant wait :$... anwyay Im not up till too late today .. almost done with the section I wanted to finish tonight Phew....!!(up)
