I am a statistician and it is really hard to advise how to best analyse data wihtout actually seeing it. Your best bet would be to contact your uni's maths/stats department and see if there is anyone who is willing to advise you how to proceed. They will consult with you on how best to analyse the data but don't expect them to do it for you. Most stats people are really nice and get excited easily by new data, so am sure they will help and advise you.
Hope this helps.
I think that tends to happen when you work somewhere to long. I used to work in a shoe shop and now have an obsession with shoes!
I love the sims for the PC, but was dissapointed with it on the DS. I have the Sims: Castaway and complteted it really quickly.
Have just ordered Sim City, so that should keep me occupied for a while and am going to pre order Zoo Tycoon 2!
So, after my complaints about my other half being so unromantic he actually bought a very sweet card AND a box of chocolates! I now feel extreemly guilty that I didn't make enough effort, although I did buy him a card!
I have Scrabble for the DS, it's really good you can play against the computer, other people with DS' and there is a career option too. And there are some good mini games. A very good buy!
I was gonna get word coach but not sure now...what other games to people recommend?
Tried the whole card making thing a couple of times but get no more reaction than a shop-bought card. So have given up! My other half is just not romantic!
Not doing anything special- both me and the other half are way top busy! Might get a card if I am lucky and if he remembers- one year I got a card saying 'happy valentines to my wife'- we're not married! He said he got it cos it was cheap! Safe to say that neither of us are very romantic! Actually, I should go to the shop and get him a card at some point!
Evil fuzzy? Am confused?
Olivia,
When printing in Microsoft Word 2003 edition (I assume your using this), if you select the table you want to print and then go into the print menu (file--print). Under 'Page Range', you can select the 'Selection' button, which will print the table you selected.
Then there is another section called 'Zoom' where there is a drop down menu with 'Scale to paper size' if you choose A4, hopefully it shoould print on just one A4 page. Make sure that you have tried it on both landscape and portrait to see what prints best.
Hope this helps!
When I told my best friend I was going to do a PhD and that I would eventually be a doctor, she remarked that she thought I was doing maths! She did not have any idea that there were two types of doctor, that I wasn't going to be a GP and that doing a PhD is not the same as doing an undergrad degree. My parents understood a bit more, but are now accepting of my decision after lots of explaining. I am lucky in that my partner is studying to become an architect and understands fully what a PhD entails.
I find most people outside of academia do not fully understand the process of doing a PhD. I do not tell people that I am a student- I tell them that I am simply a statistician, and then explain I am studying.
Sorry, just found it! You shouldn't have told me that since this thread is about procrastination! Trying to do more work rather than less. Usually try to limit my gaming to the daily commute!
For the DS or the PC? Am turning into a computer game geek!- Not that it is a bad thing.
Nah, am bored of the whole 'brain training' and 'big brain accademy' thing! Was considering getting sim city- what a classic, I used to play it on the PC when I was a kid!!
I feel the same- I have so much to do but just can't get into any of it. Have tried writing to-do lists and setting myself targets and deadlines but none of it works. I think once I get myself into the habit of not doing any work its hard to do some! Am gonna try doing something other than this paper and at least then I will have done at least some work today!
Have not done much work all week!! I think its because I am redrafting a paper that seems to be taking ages and I have lost all enthusiasm.
Instead I have spent the last two days surfing the web, posting on here, looking at nintendo ds games, creating groups on facebook, writing a letter to the local council about proposed wind turbine in my area....I could go on!
