Goal 1 complete! I have been really focusing on the one thing (well, that and a load of marking) over the last couple of weeks so it is good to have it out of the way at last.
My next goal is to input a load of references and notes into Zotero.
Morning all.
First goal this morning is to make the final changes to the stuff I have to send my supervisors today, and to email it off. This shouldn't take more than an hour or two.
Morning all.
Things have been a bit quiet on this thread!
I don't like work to eat into my weekends but have a few bits to tie up before I send some stuff to my supervisors on Monday. I'm going to get as much done as I can over the next hour and a half.
Algaequeen, that is awful! But remember that these things happen to us all and try not to get stressed about it.
Goal 3 is done- I have (more or less) made it until midday redrafting my chapter and got the first major section done. 5 hours of writing is really starting to take it's toll so I am ready for lunch. After lunch I will tackle the redrafting for one particular analysis.
Good luck Sarah!
I am starting to lose my concentration a bit now. Next goal is to keep redrafting until 12, when I'll stop for lunch.
Goal 1 done. I now have a very rough analysis section of my first chapter. It feels good- even though it is very, very rough!
The next goal is to spend between now and 10am beginning to rewrite bits and tidy up.
Morning all.
An early start for me because I want to spend as much of the afternoon as I can in the garden on a sun lounger! A good incentive to work hard today (up)
The goal for the day is again to write, write and do more writing. Over the next 2 hours my goal is to finish up the rough draft of the final section I'm working on.
Morning all.
I arrived in the department nice and early just after 8 and have spent the morning so far messing around because I needed to do some printing before a meeting later and neither of the printers in the building were working. I hate it when stuff like that happens :-s
My goal for the morning is to write, write, write between now and 11.30, which is when I have to finish and scoff down a sandwhich at my desk before going to meetings.
I hope it goes better for you this afternoon Algaequeen.
MY second goal is (more or less) done. I now need to have a break and lunch because I'm starting to flag. When I get back after lunch my third goal is to pad out the analysis for a particular extract.
And, I have 3300 words done, if I can get up to 4000 today that would be great.
Can I have the 500 words please? :p
I have a deadline next Monday so the goal for today is to write, write, write. To make this manageable my first goal is to do this solidly until 11am.
I need to sign in because I'm flagging. Spent the morning at a meeting and the afternoon panicking a bit about the state of the work I have to submit at the end of next week, while trying to get on with it as best I can.
My goal for the rest of the day is to continue working on it until 6.30.
Marking finally done. There were a few more reports which I had to go through because I wasn't happy with the original marks. But the real reason it took so long was because my other half came home and started talking about holiday arrangements, and I got distracted looking at hotels online :$
Now I need to sort out a couple of things before a meeting with the research group tomorrow and then that's me for the day.
Well done moonblue! Must be a good feeling to have it out of the way.
Really flagging with my writing now. So the next goal is to mark the 2 papers which I have left to do.
Keep it up everyone!
I had a good morning's writing and have just had lunch. The afternoon is where I really start to run out of steam with my writing, so I will do another hour and see how it goes.
Does anyone else find it really hard writing all day? It is getting easier to write for longer now I have a small deadline to work towards but I find it really difficult to write for too long in one day.
