Hi,

My university uses Harvard system and when using EndNote software, chosing Harvard system, it did not list the URL link. Do u use EndNote? So, just to get the online links listed in my reference I used APA 5th. I hope my Supervisor will let me use this.
Any idea on making the Harvard come with URL link?

Sorry to know abt yr situation. I understand it is not easy at the beginning with all the difficulties. I also started in Oct and these last 3 months had not been easy due to several reasons. As PhD has been my long time dream and to get funding was another blessing to me, I would never ever think of leaving...

It's really very strange and surprised! I am also in the first year. Though I have not done Master's in the same subject, I have not been forced to do Masters modules. Rather, I requested my supervisor to link me with some taught master's modules so that I have clarity in the subject matter. He was kind enough to write to the department. I am taking the classes but he had clearly wrote to the department that I should not be put into test. I think something is going wrong there...how can anyone do PhD with full taught modules n tests! O God!

While I was going back to my report referring to references, it was a great problem already. It took me lot of time finding out some of the online and electronic references. Today only I tried reading and highlighting with the Google Notbook, it's been a great relief. I wish I knew it before. I just came to know yesterday after reading in this message board. It's also very important from the beginning using EndNote software. I learnt it now and hope to have all refereces stored in it soon

I also have just started. Was very happy to be able to submit 6000 words of report in the first month but very confused now after getting comments from supervisors...just trying to work on it but finding it really very very tough!
