How many days a week are you in, and do you have your own office/workspace?
T

There is a PhD space but i tend to work from home as i don't like to have to share with other students, I just can't work like that. It would be lovely to have my own office - heaven! - as I am starting to find it a nuisance to work from home

Hi
Perhaps you should look at the research gaps and see what stands out for you? Or come at it from a particular theoretical perspective? How things have changed over the years? Regards Teresa

How to layout a conference paper composing of early findings.
T

Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me? I have nervously taken the plunge to present at a conference - luckily for me it is to be held in my local university. I have pretty much written the outline of my paper and oral presentation. My PhD is on graduate employment and the very early findings I am presenting is the negative discourse surrounding non traditional students, how I am promoting the project and my aim to refine the research respondents from non traditional students to mature students. However I keep on having a nagging doubt in my head re how I should layout the conference paper and the oral presentation. The layout I have chosen for my presentation so far is,
Introduction
Themes,
Research Objectives
Research Design and Methodology,
Work to date
- Negative discourse
- Refining of research respondents
-Promoting the Project.

I'm not sure if it sounds ok saying work to date? i was going to put findings to date, but then I am also discussing how I have been promoting the project so didnt think that it would fit. I am also not sure how to finish the paper. Is there anyone out there who can give me some suggestions?
Thanking you in advance. Teresa
