Look quite deeply into who accredites your online MBA, and make sure you feel comfortable that it is legitimate.
I think finding the balance between assertive and respectful is tough for a lot of people, especially those coming straight from undergraduate, as it is the first time you are potentially surrounding by your peers and colleagues.
If they are a good supervisor, they will know the answer to all your questions and will guide you through the first few months. A timetable is a good idea, but remember at this early stage especially things will change a lot.

It sounds like you've been talking to your University, but have you phoned AHRC? NERC has advisors (one does Universities from A-M, another guy N-Z or something). At the very least it would make them aware of it, and things might move a bit quicker. If you tell them that you have no funds coming in, and you have to pay a flat deposit or something then they really should move a lot quicker you'd hope. Good luck!
Looking forward to it!
Birthday!
