i am working full-time and i stepped in UK, october 2009, i want to do a PhD Programme/Research, can i do this under my Tier 1 Visa, is this possible? if yes can anyone please advice the universities or colleges.

How strange. Are the options for "no" and "cannot" different in some way? And I guess "maybe" isn't going to be all that helpful a response either.

Are you sure you're up to the intellectual rigour of a PhD?

I will advise you to contact your employer regarding conditions of work/visa. They may also think that it is going to improve your performance in you current job etc then you can do it like a work based training. This is just my personal opinion. An employer or even an immigration solicitor can give better advice? I won't doubt your abilities based on a simple mistake or perhaps your enthusiasm to check the strength of words(up). I could not response to survey but for me its a 'maybe'

one thing i forgot, i am an IT guy with 5+ years of experience, would this be an helping point or an advantage in any way?
