Appendices for thesis -help?

A

Can you put something in your appendices without referring to it in your chapters. But its part of a method you do. Or could you write at the end of the method (see Appendix ... for results)?

Anyone have an idea?

I would refer to it in the text of the thesis so it is clear if it were me.

Yeah maybe i'm just being lazy :$

Appendices are meant to supplement your facts in the chapter hence you should mention it in your chapter in the first place. For an example, let’s say you have to compute five elements using a new model that you have developed. Ideally you can present one calculation (one result) in the core chapter itself, and quote “In a similar method, the computation of remaining elements can be obtained and is provided in Appendix I”.

I think its becuase these particular two things, i needed to do them to get certain results. But once i got the results i didnt really need them or talk about them in any other way. So what i have just done now is add an extra sentence to my chapter, saying For results of so and so (well not so and so .. you know what i mean) please refere to Appendix 1

Would that do?
