Who has the highest number of references in EndNote?

S

I was just wondering how many references you collect over the period of your research? I have collected a mere 89 but I have only just started.

Can anyone beet that? :-)

Stephen

S

I will beat that (I'll get in quick before anyone else weighs in) with a 102.

Although I do have a lot of endnoting to catch up on.

B

I have over 300 in EndNote which doesn't have all my references in it. I have about 300 articles/books in the secondary sources section of my final thesis bibliography (recently submitted, viva'd, and hard bound ready for final post-corrections submission).

I didn't use EndNote to generate my references/bibliography automatically, so there is a bit of a mismatch between the two.

never checked how many until today. 240 after last week's clean-up. Strange that most of the first two year's research is flashed down the toilet.

W

I have 1346 references in my Endnote, which pertains to my journal articles only. In terms of books, I have used 52 and government documents and things like guidelines, around 33.

D

I used the rather superb JabRef 8-) and ended up with about 600 references and about 280 in my final thesis.

W

JabRef? That's one of them Latex thingies. DanB, you're so elitist!:-)

I had honestly never even heard of EndNote until my last year :$

I've got 1534 references - although my topic is HUGE. But I reckon I must have used a lot more - I have only just retreived my copy of endnote from my old house so have been doing without.

I have about 175, although I've only been going 6 months, and am in the masters years of a 1+3 PhD...

I've got 535 after 9 months

wow you could have had a baby instead! I know I would prefer the references though.

I got curious and decided to check mine, one of the folders failed to open and had to get recovered. Made me realise I should probably create a back-up of my endnote references and not only the other work (take note people ;-) ).

Anyway, been using it for a few months now and have over 300 references, not bad but I can't remember reading 300 articles!

oh I can definitely say that I have only read about 2 of those articles, I skim them for relevant points, but never read them cover to cover. :$
