I agree....By "being polite", I meant being gentle, not outrageous. I myself contacted the HR about the outcome of an interview at a later date and am doing the postdoc now!
I think it's totally okay to contact them again. Ask them when is the interview going to be held. Be polite in your email.
Thank you very much for the suggestions..I will apply these..yes, it's a new lab. it's different than my PhD topic. So I am a bit stressed.
You might be a PhD student , but you might be wiser than me. I appreciate your answer, thank you very much.
I totally understand you. I had the same experience during my PhD. I used to feel like you after my PhD. But one day I started thinking- there must be something inside me for which I earned this PhD. I gained the courage to continue applying for postdocs. And then the magic happened! I got a postdoc! Your advisors were abusive, don't let them upset you. It's your life! People will continue trying to break you. Just believe in God and yourself, and try. You will get there.
I am starting my postdoc very soon. During my PhD, I used to be a very straightforward person. It did not help me at all ! Once, I showed my supervisor his mistake (in his work). It hurt his ego so much that I am still suffering. I want to know how to deal with postdoc stress and still become successful?
