Bit of light relief...aliens

W

Hehe, look what makes it to the front page of the Sun tomorrow...http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/ufos/article1336870.ece

It's a pity it's in The Sun of all papers, but I wonder if there's any truth in it? My rational scientific mind says 'no'. :-(

W

Oops, probably the wrong thread for such frivolity

A

on the contrary, such frivolity is much needed on this forum- gives us some breathing space lol

They were most likely Chinese laterns. There was I thinking someone/something had heard my celestial cry for help with my work...with a shared interest in what I'm doin'. Bugger, because they could have helped me with my research - rather lack of.

W

Oooh, whilst wasting time today I happened upon this article in, erm hmm, the great media bastion of wholesome family values and social decorum, The Daily Mail. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1037471/Apollo-14-astronaut-claims-aliens-HAVE-contact--covered-60-years.html

Hmm alien's travel thousands of lightyears to be here, and they aren't even polite enough to say hello properly...

W

Well, it's one of my distraction obsessions at the moment - I'm trying to keep the Off-Topics section topical. I'm sure that, as I trawl through the online papers, when I should be working , I'll come across a story where there have been friendly aliens that have travelled here and had a brew with some earthlings. I'll bet it's first work travelling thousands of light years through time and space.

O

I read where even one of the NASA astronauts is very certain that there are aliens! I too am a fan of the Daily Mail, its a great read whilst you do your PhD work!

The wobble cushion I sit on resembles an alien spaceship!

You can see it here:

That wobble cushion looks like a Chinese torture instrument. Unless it's upside down in the picture that is.

I'm getting more and more obsessed with the Daily Mail: I read the Femail section approximately every other day. It's the same urge that sees me masochistically reading the BBC's Have Your Say pages and weeping for the fate of humanity.

V

As it's in the Sun and it's on aliens it must be real!
