anyone any good at graphs?!

S

sorry for a random post but does anyone know how to get scatterplots with different scales on each side on excel? so i can plot two variables on one chart?

B

Create the graph as normal with the two sets of data (so you have only one y axis).

Then, on the graph, right click the data set you want to define a secondary Y axis, select 'Format Data Series', and under the axis tab select 'Secondary data series', that should do the trick.

S

yup, I think so. Just put the two series on a chart with ONE axis like you normally would, then right click on the chart, go to 'chart type', click on the 'custom type' tab and scroll down until you see 'lines on 2 axes'. That should be it - mine come with a big mess of black labels on the x-axis - just click on them and press delete on the keyboard if you don't want them. Hope this works!

S

thank you very much stats analysis never was my thing..!

BigDave's way works too - I just tried it, and since he beat me too it...
