Which are the questions done during a studentship interwiew? Which requirements need i to have to partecipate to a studentship as ,curriculum,age,english skills,laboratory skills...?

Hi,i'm an italian biologist i've 34 years old and i've a master degree with best marks.My dream is to do a PhD in Ireland in marine biology.Have i any hopes to parteipate to studentships fundings or i'm too in late with my age?
