No supervisor meetings for a while as my supervisor is off work at the moment, I've decided to start by creating a reference database for logging what I've read

Thanks satchi, it's my first day tomorrow. It looks like ill be left to my own devices as the supervisors aren't exactly in my specialism. Are there any tips on how to start off, especially on the first day? Should I be writing up an initial plan of action and a sort of references log?

Hi, I just thought I'd say hello as I'm new here. I've just had my panel interview for Mphil/Phd registration interrogating me about my proposal and been accepted onto the initial Mphil registration, and put forward for full uni funding, so I'm quite happy and start in September. I was worried as one interviewer who I knew pointed out beforehand a first person sentence in my proposal so I was almost banging my head on the wall repeatedly before my interview, but luckily it wasn't brought up!
