well  done Martie, I am in the same situation as you have been may be two years ago. I am a working woman and its so hard for me to concentrate but I do not want to give up. in what field where you writing your thesis?

I am a petroleum engineer holding an MSc in Economics. Presently I am doing on a long distance PhD research with a UK based university and writing my thesis in a combined area which include petroleum refining operational research and economics. my proposal has been accepted by the university board but I was asked to write a research paper for to be upgraded to a PhD researcher. I would greatly appreciate the help from current PhD student or those who have been through this fascinating experience in order to help me structure my paper.
