There is something fishy going on here, apart from sheer incompetence. Complain to Graduate school now. A detailed report for major corrections would be at least 1 page of detailed instructions. I never wrote one shorter. Good luck.
It's all about strategy and research management. Have a timetable, precisely timed tasks in it and stick to it. Plan chapters first, rather than starting with nothing. It's all in having the right tools for the job.
That is normal for a lot of students. Take a break for a while, ask for extended deadline. What year are you? Time pressured?
Seems you have no motivation and as such BEST to walk away. You WILL struggle. Good luck.
No, that's not normal at all. A report should not take more than a couple of days, a week at a push, to reach you. Chase it up now, it is your right. Make a complaint to Grad School. Now.
Major corrections? Had to advise on substantive corrections for 18 (that is eighteen) months! That was a pass. Yours is the norm for many. Worry not. Keep your supervisor close during the work.
Remember this and by all means trust it: of everyone in that room, YOU know most about the subject under examination. Know it inside out.
