I would recommend that you save each version (e.g., draft 1, draft 1 plus comments, draft 2). But work on the latest version (separately saved). It makes it easier to see what you've addressed from the comments etc. Also useful for the supervisors if you are sending it back to them for more feedback afterwards, as they may have forgotten their original comments. I normally put a reply to any comments, e.g., "addressed".

Would you need a doctorate for that in your chosen area?
Hello! Do you have a longer term goal? What might you want to be doing in say 5 years time? Thinking about this might help you in deciding your next steps. You might need a PhD for instance. If you simply like being a student and want to avoid the world of work then that is different. A PhD will probably put you off studying for life (seriously!!!), whereas another masters would buy you and enjoyable extra year or two! I'm really tired so probably ignore the last few sentences here! I think the opening part makes sense though.

There are some practical things you can do to, such as setting goals or even going to a writing workshop. What kind of thing has worked for you in the past?
Thank you - this makes perfect sense. Bummer though. Drat Trump.
Hello,
Does anyone know anything about getting a job / postdoc in the US?
Someone I was chatting to suggested that getting a postdoc and applying for a VISA from the UK etc on that basis would be much easier than trying to do the same for a typical (but research based) job - e.g., lab manager (that doesn't necessary require a PhD).
I didn't have a chance to ask them why this would be. Does anyone know anything about this sort of thing?
Thanks
Tudor
Congrats Iwan. It takes courage to do stuff like this. Great that you were reassured that you shouldn't have to pay - was that verbal or in writing? All best.
Hi Dil, Have you explained all the above to your internal and your supervisor?
What do you mean by informal help? Chatting with colleagues, having someone read a draft?
Oh sorry for hijacking your post Dil. I defo wouldn't email directly. But you could meet with /contact your internal and explain the urgency of the situation. Ideally, s/he should give him/her a call...
Yeh... I'm thinking our conversation will probably stray to my project. Maybe I'll just avoid until after the viva!
I needed an RA to do some data collection and potentially transcription. I wrote a case for support with the quoted amount and was given the go ahead. I was able to say that I needed the extra person to do it so that I would be blind to that particular aspect of the study, and thus if I didn't have someone else do it, it would jeapardize the quality of the study (and its subsequent ability to be published). I think if I had only stated that it would help me do it more quickly I probably wouldn't have been awarded the extra dosh.
I'm not surprised you don't feel comfortable. Some of this sounds horrendous. It sounds like you know your own mind though (thank goodness). I hope someone here can offer you some advice.
