hello all Im finally back on the wagon! Think I posted here the other day but couldnt find it!! Hmmm brain has turned to nothing since having a baby. Anyway I am trying to gradually get back into the thesis writing when my bambino is asleep. But as tonight I am having friends round I have decided to do a bit as she naps. I'm going to start with easy stuff like entering all my lab results into excel etc. So going to plan tasks for the week as daily ones may not happen depending on baby!! Also going to try and sort out a days childcare a week so I can have a full day at it! Also need some part time work. Oh im doing to be busy!!!!
THis weeks plan:
Type up all food anaylsis data in excel
Hello everyone - just wanted to let you know that baby sofia was born on the 19th sept weighing 9lbs5 after a long and difficult labour ending in a c section. She is fab and doing so well and I am slowly recovering. So happy to be a mummy. Thesis is now being forgotten about until the new year and then I will try and get back on top of it.
Sounds like you guys have been doing great in my absence- I havent read through all the posts but notice that Lara you have got the thesis done!!! Well done you- thats so impressive!!! I will probably pop in and out but have decided the next 3 months are baby time and after that I will try and find a few brain cells to try and get this thesis finished!
hello all how have you been? Im doing ok - 3 weeks til this baby comes and im feeling massive. Just want it here!!! So uncomfortable and not sleeping!!! All that fun plus Im just impatient! Ive taken the last week and a half off from phd stuff as I was starting to get stressed with all the things I have to do. Im glad I did as finally my house is sorted, baby's room all decorated and hospital bags packed, my room sorted and generally the nesting instinct has meant I have a clean tidy house!!! I've also got caught up on that silly admin stuff such as bills etc. So although not able to sleep feeling ready for baby. I am now planning to keep on top of things and if I feel up to it do a little phd stuff until baby arrives then take off til new year then start afresh. Going to go and see my supervisor on friday to finish stuff off in uni!
Hope all the work is going well for you all!!!
Hello everyone how are you all today? Work is going slowly but getting there. I only had the energy to do about 2 hours work yesterday so thinking I should do weekly aims next week rather than daily ones and then I can work at my pace better. So by end of this week I want to have typed up the Brazil notes. Hope all work is going well!
Hi everyone hows it going today? This new layout is strange!! Well last weeks aims are still going! This exhaustion is not good. But at least yesterday aim 1 was finished so aim 2 - typing up the notes is todays aim!! And washing lots of baby clothes!!!
Hello everyone. Well I was up trying to be productive today but already had computer disasters and then my puppy decided to forget that he was house trained so Ive been cleaning up after him. The fun. Anyway aims for today are
1. Finially finish brazil book
2. write up notes on brazil
All the best with the aims today
When we got our mortage 2 years ago I had no problem using phd money as a stipend as they just viewed it as a 3 year contract. Although we did have a deposit of about a third of the value of the house. Im guessing things have changed now. All the best with it!
TG good luck with job interview. Lara good job on taking some time out for you too! And hi to the others.
This week I have found very difficult - ive just been exhausted. But today I finally got my aims finished that I have been trying to do since monday. So yeah. Hopefully tomorrow will go well. Going to visit my gran this weekend who is really ill. Just feel massive and it takes so much energy to do anything. can't wait until this bambino arrives!!
hello yesterday did not go to plan. ended up with a friend round at my house coz her mummy is really ill and she wanted to chat then had a bbq last night so got nothing done. Oh well heres to today. I'm very very tired this week so finding it hard to keep the momentum going.
Aims
1. Type up results into excel
2. Read text for section 2.
morning everyone, glad everyone is battling on. My weekend was good, had the wedding then was babysitting my little godchildren over night they are only 2 and 4 so Im wrecked but was all good!! Aims for today are:
1. Type up results from the lab
2. read key chp 2 section 2 book
Here's to a fresh start and a productive week
Sounds good Lara! There's no point playing catch up all the time. It gets very disheartening! Keep them as realistic as possible and then you get more motivation from getting them done if you know what i mean. You are doing brillantly so dont get disheartened.
Well I got my restructing done and printed this morning so the longest section of ch2 is done. Next week on to the rest of it- Im hoping it shouldnt take so long.
Spent this afternoon trying to sort out sample mess in the uni. Not sure whats going on. Other than people being lazy!! hmmm the things were there and I couldnt find my supervisor. OH well done as far as Im concerned. Caught up on emails too. So ive a wedding tomorrow and taking sunday off so back to it all on monday!
Have a good weekend and hope you all get some well deserved rest!
morning guys sorry to hear this week is going tough for most of you. I completed my aims yesterday and today want to restructure ch2 and print it so I have a hard copy. Hoping to get that done but have to go into uni to sort out the samples lost in action! Grrr. Im dreading going near the place - dont really want to see my supervisor coz anytime i do i get so many forms to fill in and its all so complicated coz im pregnant supposedly!! I'd rather just write my phd!
