I'm in the social sciences too, and I'm writing (or rather trying to write) my lit review chapter.
I wrote 21,000 words and my supd told me to reduce it to 15,000. I managed to make it 17,000 and then I was told to make it 10,000! So, now my thord draft is around 11,000 words and I don't seem to be able to reduce it more!

My other chapters are:
Introduction (around 7,000 words as my research is based in a country other than the UK and I have to "set the scene")
Literature review (around 11,000 words)
Methodology (araound 13,000 words)
Analysis 1 (around 12,000 words)
Analysis 2 (around 12,000 words)
Analysis 3 (around 11,000 words)
Conclusion/Discussion (around 12,000 words)

That gives me total of around 78,000 words with a limit of 80,000

As I did not manage ti find a solution with the essay-writing site (they ignored all my emails) I contacted my university.
I hope that they will be able to help me with this issue.
If it is necessary, I have kept all the earlier drafts of my proposal (as I had sent them to my supervisor) which show the writing process and I guess can be a proof that it is my material and not plagiarised...

Let's see.....

I only sent it to thn university and my supervisors...

I don't know how they got hold of it....

Today I was lookig for some theory to back my research, and I came accross an essay writing site that had my research proposal as an essay on subject X!
It was exactly what I had written when I applied at my university.
Of course I had not sent it to them.
I wrote an email to them immediately asking them to remove it, as it was my ownership. They still have not replied.

What if the university sees it? What if it turns up using an anti-plagiarism software?

Any advice on what to do?

Yestarday I managed to review my methodology and my 2nd analysis chapter. So today I have to review the 1st analysis chpater (I have to add a few things here and there) and I feel that it won't take long...

Oh! And I took off my stitches, so I am back as (almost) new!

I sure hope that I will, as yesterday I didn't do any progress at all (bad Emmaki).....
So, yesterday I sat at my desk and I was really ready to do some serious work, but then I was really frustrated as I couldn't find the papers I needed and I ended up tidying up.....

My goals for today (of course after work) are:
1) Go to the doctor's and take off stitches from ankle
2) Revise methodology chapter
3) Revise 1st analysis chapter
4) Revise 2nd analysis chapter (really minor revisions)

Hello all!!!

I am still at my job....it is a good thing that today things are quite and not many people are coming... It gives me time to take a break....

I plan to get on with my PhD in a couple of hours (I finish at 2 local time, and I give myself one hour for lunch and a quick nap). Yesterday I sent to my sups a literature review chapter which is around 20,000 words (quite big I guess) and until our meeting at the end of the month, I don't have anything to work on. So, I guess I will try to take a look at all of my other chapters...

Starting from today, I will work on my methodology chapter (I know that I need to add one paragraph at the end of it) and then on my first analysis chapter.

Hello all!
It is really nice to see that everyone is doing a lot of work (between waves of procrastination, but the result counts!!!!!!)
I did not do any work today, as I had to go to the doctor because of a thing like a cyst that appeared near my heel. The I had to go to a dermatologist to tell me what that was. And then back to the surgeon again, to arrange when to have it removed... So, I spent most of my afternoon in doctors....
And now I am not in a mood to work....

Well...tomorrow is another day!
