Universities do accpet students with 3rd's (often the lesser Universities), but a great deal depends on how competitive your subject is. It may be prudent to make some enquiries.

I think you should do some research on the UK IT industry. My take on it is thats its hemorrhaging jobs (to abroad) - a situation that won't improve.

I have a pal that works for Barclays in The City. I'm informed there a good bit (i.e lot) of"politics/bulls**t/backstabbing" going on there. That said you're much better paid to put up with such crap there.

I tend to day this a bit, BUT make sure you can actually get a work permit to work in the UK. Jobs have been heading out of the UK IT industry for some number of years. That combined with an imminent recession, and literally huge numbers of unemployed well-qualified IT grads may effect your plans. I'm personally aware of several Masters students from overseas that have similar aspirations to yourself, but have been unable to find work.

I tend to agree. These are all things you need to think about at some point in the future - probably not now though. If you're struggling with a Masters, thats where you priority should be.

Well if were into 'insults' I have to say all you're questions are a bit 'lame'...case in point "How can I speed up my Masters" (err...a 12 month masters takes I would imagine 12 months...shock!).

Rather than spending fortunes of an MSc that you're not particularly interested in, wouldn't it be easier just to take a couple of science 'A' levels? You can sit them in November can't you still?
