Well I m not feeling i am doing a lot of preparations
much of it is mentally. i mean i think of on my head without jotting down any notes which my sup recommended for me as these ideas might be discussed by the examiners.
I am being a bit lazy. I should have started reading my thesis and preparing a lit of corrections, then i will prepare cards with answers to all the generic questions that my sup gave me. If times allows, I will go and refresh my memory about key articles, reading my external publications. After that my sup will do a mock viva for me one or two days before the real thing and I think that's it!
Well done and congrats on the submission!
whatis the name of ur prepration book?
I m not using any books, just past experiences of friends and information from the internet.
Sometimes I feel the viva is not as scary as one thinks and sometimes I feel like I am underestimating it and it will be a hell of scary thing :-(

8 weeks !! i can't wait that long. My supervisor told me that my examiners is thinking of mid march but haven't been goven a specific date yet. Hope it wont be 8 weeks which means one or two weeks before viva :-(
DrSeeker
we have that too which approves the thesis title and appoint the examiners. I did that 9 months ago but my supervisor was very busy until I pressed on him to appoint the examiners which only happened last week :-(

I wish we had ur system. At least you are able to plan everything very well instead of just waiting too long or too short
Hi All,
My thesis have just despatched to my examiners yesterday. How long do you wait till you know the viva date?
The feeling that my work is now in the hands of my examiners. looking at it, overviewing it, skimming the pages is scary!! Now all what I think of is that they are now spotting the mistakes which adds more worries and scariness.
Past and prospective viva takers, please share your experience with us. When, where and how did you know about your viva and how did u feel the moment you knew?
Hi Teek
Thanx for ur reply and making me feel a bit better.

Good luck with ur viva and we will look forward to hear the good news soon
I will keep u updated through this post until that day come
the nerves increases day after day. I do not know my examiners yet. My supervisor is busy and i hope he appoints them very soon.
Hi all,
I think this forum is amazing and what i really need these days.
I am doing my final revisions before submission.
My supervisor is a busy one he has read every single chapter twice and I wanted from him to read the whole thing but he said he was busy and would slow me down. He also said "we will let examiners to decide on the final revisions since hard we do examiners would find some revisions". This worried me a bit. But given that he said he was satisfied with my work and his last comments were little, it relieved me a bit.
I decided I submit within three weeks and the whole idea is really scaring me. Sometimes I feel my work is really good and sometime I feel it is rubbish :(
