I think it's not abt the subject but a sarcastic take on the fate that awaits most of us given the cuts etc (unemployment, competition etc).... :-(

======= Date Modified 06 Nov 2010 14:03:33 =======
I interviewed 60 children using social networking sites (God help me) while they went online, qualitative stuff.I worked overtime, generated the money and got them transcribed and my thesis is 4 months away from submission. For me, it was neevr a moemnts reconsideration.I had to compelte in way under 3 years, had 3 jobs and was drained out totally, and have very high eye power. I just couldnt have done it. I dont think they made an iota of difference to my analysis.

I am unsure if the response to this post will be deleted. I was wondering - we have specific sites where post docs in the UK are advertised. Any idea where US post docs are advertised?

Cheers

Scholar X clarified the ambiguities in problem X...

Scholar Y balanced the conversation around topic Y..

The future research agenda needs to draw out the complexities in issue X...

My work seeks to make sense of problem Y by keeping blah and blah in the same frame....

just thinking aloud...

Dear Slowmo,

After spending a horrid two days hearing bad news from friends' families and other people, I am SO delighted to be able to go to bed now with this lovely bit of news.

And the weirdest bit? I was thinking about you earlier this evening, and was going to dig this up tomorrow morning. How is that possible? is it coincidence?

Don't know, but I am so happy Slowmo to read this

:-) and Hugs.

Yes, there's a link from which you get a client or something which i ran, and then it downloaded the thing all night and this morning it unpacked it (whatever that means) and asks me to install it - I say yes, and bang - it says you must first install outlook 2010 business contacts or sometbhing before you can install this. WTF?! I paid 40£

Hey Eska, I'm probably gonna ask something that's going to make you mad at me but am hoping you dont get me wrong!! From your first para where you said you don't call him etc cos he;s her BF, do you (at any/some level) have any feelings/things for this guy? I mean, if yes or even at an unknown level, maybe thats why you're feeling bad that she is being potentially unfaithful?

If that's not the case, then I think the first task is to put your girl friend first - her needs, wants and emotions first, as long as she is not making a hasty mistake. No one can say if this is really IT, or if this new guy is 'the' man, but often we rush into things, as long as that's not it, be with her :-)
