If you want to take leave or require maternity leave

Your university must make suitable arrangements for holidays and maternity leave, generally following their normal practice.

PhD students receiving a stipend from a doctoral training grant are entitled to receive a stipend during maternity leave in line with statutory maternity provision. They should also have their studentships extended by a corresponding length of time.

We expect universities to meet the costs of maternity leave from within the cash-limit of their training accounts. If a university has a very small doctoral training grant and no expectation of future funding from us, they can request additional funding above the cash-limit. The university will need to show that payment for maternity leave cannot be made from the doctoral training grant and that there are no other contingency funding or doctoral training grants to draw on.

If you receive industrial sponsorship, please bear in mind your obligation to your sponsor in planning holidays.

£112 million - what would you do?
S

I'd pay off loans
give money to both sets of parent's ( Mine and hubbys) as they are both in need of dosh to do their houses up, my parents want to sell and move to France!
Go on Holiday to Canada and many other places
Go to loads of concerts and festivals
Buy a house
Give some to hubbys brother who is living and studying abroad and currently has to rely on his parents

I'd settle for a few million though don't need the whole lot, don't want to be greedy just enough to solve the financial problems of my loved ones.

friendship advice, again?
S

Hi
My opinion is if you want to be friends with her then be friends with her! Give her a second chance but be weary and at least for the beginning time tread carefully.
Maybe she realises she was hasty letting go of a longtime friend.
you could also have a chat (calmly) about what you both want and can give to the freindship to make sure the same thing wont happen again.

Good luck, hope it works out

Hi
these sort of things are great for arms, much harder then normal weights but cheap enough to have at home and use when ever you have the time, i have some and they really help you get to the burn quicker!!
you can get a similar sort of thing with handles on which is a bit easier to use.

Quote From cheekybint:

It'd be much harder to turn off my laptop at night, I leave it on standby too many times! :$

leaving it on all night also makes the screen burn out quicker so you may have to pay to get it repaired or buy a new one sooner then anticipated- maybe a bit of motivation for you there-

Energy Saving Tips

This stuff might be obvious but here it is any way:

Turn lights off when your not in the room
Turn off your computer/laptop at night including the monitor if you have a PC
Don't leave anything like TV on standby switch it off
