thanks for all your help. I am really worried about my car now. Thinking of selling but really adicted to driving. If I walk for 5mins I get itchy all over my body(no kidding its the truth). I am not that big, I am size 12 going on 14. I guess I am not that fit and cambridge may just be about to teach me a lession. I live in yorkshire now and I drive to pritty much anywhere.
I know at the babraham the parking is there , I saw it when I went for interview.
I guess I just have to check if teh accomodation that I will get from st Johns(my first choice)will have parking.
tell me how do the colleges decide if the accept you or not.
I have a first class undergradute degree , on course for a distinction in my current masters.
So if its accademics i may not be all that bad.
My program is full funded by the BBRSC and so I have secured my fuding and I have the offer from babraham which I have now accepted.
I cant tell you how surprised I am about the whole car issue. What town are you not allowed to bring your own car.
well, is there parking spaces at the st jones residences (I hope I will get this one)becasue thats all I care about. My dept is the Babraham Institute so I definately need a car.
Will I be allowed to park my car at the college where I live.
thnsks master. I actually have accepted it now. could not risk it. I am all ready to go there in oct and face all these things that I keep hearing on this forum- bad superviors, bad collegues, lost work , writing up stress, the works.
I surely hope I am not a fraud
I drive so I am bringing my small clio.
I am also married but no children hence my question about the accomocdation requirements. I know that the have couples accomodation but it seems expensive and was conserinding squting with my hubby for two months in halls until we find cheaper private acco
Thanks guys that helps a lot. Unfortunately, I could not hold my horses. I was too excited about Cambridge, My first offer that I have totaly accepted the offer. The project is good and inline with my first degree and MSC, its also funded by the BBSRC,
I thought it would be unwise to wait seeing as if I only have interviews not offers and I may not get into those other places.
So I am off to cam in Oct. very excited.
Tell me whats the best college there
I agree with evry one here. I would say apply for as many as you can, it will take about a month from when you start for you to start getting letters thru the post.
I also got a first, doing an Msc and on target for a distinction, applied for more than 20, attended first interview-rejected, attended second interview in cambridge-ACCEPTED
SO KEEP AT IT
Hie everyone. I am relatively new to this site and in fact this is my first posting. I just got my first offer from cambridge uni today and I am over the moon. I am not really sure whether to accept becuase I have other interviews form unis that may not be the best in the Uk but offer industrial placements at astrazeneca, one of the major pharma giants.
I feeel like accepting this offer, but I dont want to short change myself.any advice
