hey hey hey
first calm down, take a deep breath
NOW, its OK to feel overwhelmed. We all do so in this life, for one reason or another. So its alright to feel frustrated, at the edge of collapse, and feel nothing matters.
there will be many people at this forum to help you wade out of deep end in which you feel entrapped, so there is HELP available
EVERYTHING will be alright, nothing LET ME SAY AGAIN, NOTHING, NOTHING is worth taking so seriously that you will think of ending your life. I SAY AGAIN NOTHING
Now i dont know, what might be the issue, some personal disappointment, professional setback, financial trouble, general stress, physical ailment, I DONT KNOW what is weighing so heavily on your heart.
WE all have problems, and we fall back on each other for help. I admire that you are not worrying your family. BUT honestly, if you are this upset, talk to someone close. PLEASE dont take away the chance from those who care about you to help you with whatever you are going through, friend family whoever can support you, ask them to help
in any case, many people in this forum are there to support you.
I hope you will feel better.
lots of hugs for you
Trust me, you will be fine.
well since you got the project did you work on it?
what developments have you made since then.
If i understand correctly your supervisor never told you, you are not working on it. so if i were you i will go to my supervisor, discuss my further work on the project, and if he does not mention anything about that i am not working on the project any more e thing is Kool...and if he does, I will win my case by showing i am really ehthusiastic about the project, i have already done GOOD work on it and that i am a better and more motivated person to do the job. Its competition, I wont confront the girl, i will just prove in a very strategic way that i am the RIGHT person...
and one more advice
what is with this name "wastedlife"???
please change it ....
if this is the way you will let anxiety overshadow e thing, you will definetly feel down.
sometimes when you are feeling down, some superficial efforts set into momentum more stronger changes. Like deciding to smile, will make you feel better. Change this name, you will feel better

totally agree with LARA
first and foremost! take a deep breath
you said
"Checking at my notes from almost 4 years ago. I found out that there was a exclamation mark near one of the equations of my supervisor's paper. I couldn't get one of his results. Keeping track of the implications of that, and now that I am a little more flunet in "chinese" I found out that this mistakes,, leads to HUGE BAD CONSEQUENCES."
Have you discussed with your supervisor, how did he get that equation?
What do u mean by Mistake? Have you solved that equation and now are getting different results? I don't understand what is going on????
My advice:
Discuss the technical aspects with your supervisor, THERE will be a WAY OUT, i have a feeling you are freaking out a little too much
I simply cannot buy that one equation can undermine your five years of work. This is not the way things work. What I am trying to say is, you will be FINE, do not panic. take a break, keep telling yourself, it is not this bad as it seems.
We want to know, are you taking our advice seriously
;-)

phd_engineer and some other individuals,
though i do not have to make explanations on her behalf,
but strangely when i read her/his post , i dont get the impression that she is blaming the entire UK. I think she just perceives herself to be a victim of racism against chinese by "some" people in UK....
maybe she is upset about her experience, and just wants to voice it, .......and maybe she has done so in not very articulate manner...
but the good thing that she can see from replies to her post is that none of us support any racism and all of us are trying to tell her to be more objective in her assessment of a situ

after that i bought lenovo's thinkpad T-6, life could not have been better (it was on sale i got it for usd 1000), and ironically i paid some extra bucks to install XP instead of the crappy vista....but i was no way going to use vista
