replacing phd thesis copies

J

I got my phd 5 months ago but I discovered there is one blank page and a typo in my thesis and would like to replace the copies I gave to my UK university + british library with new copies is this normal? :-)

I've never heard of doing this, although I have spotted a couple of typos in my final bound thesis so I sympathise. One option that a friend of mine did (I swear this is true!) is go to the Uni library with a tube of glue and an errata slip and stuck it the thesis so anyone coming to read it would know where the typo was and what it was.

in my case it is deleting a name of a friend as a reference which I quoted in a footnote but he did not like his name to be there so I decided to delete it. I was thinking of doing the same and going with a fluid correction pen and did this but not sure if I can do it in the British Library !
