Ways to annoy your supervisor

R

See http://canberra.lti.cs.cmu.edu/cgi-bin/99ways/99ways.pl?id=1 for some starters. I am thinking of something that allows me to get my own back, isn't too obvious and doesn't get me kicked off the course.

That was so funny

This reminds me a thread from a few months ago about things you should never say in a meeting with your supervisor. Some of them are priceless and I would like to relive some of my favourites with you:

"I would have read that paper you sent me, but to be honest, I just couldn't be arsed" (DanB)
"That's an interesting combination of trousers and jumper, I take it you're not married?" (DanB)
"I will be able to operate on people after getting this doctorate, won't I?" (Ann)
"What do you mean 'thesis'? I have to write a thesis?" (Ann)

and the one I long to use the most:

"Do it yourself, w**ker!" (AWOL Stu).

Classic.
