NEW BOOK FOR REVIEW!
A

Hi Master's Students!

We have a brand new book in the office ready for one of you lucky devils to review:

Open UP Study Skills. Succeeding with your Master's Dissertation. A step by step handbook. 2nd Ed. By John Biggam.

If you can write us a high quality 500 word review, not only do you get to keep the book for future reference, but your work could be published on FindAMasters.com.

Give me a PM if any of you are interested- you'll get the Forum VIP status as well of course!

Thanks,

Amy

F.A.O.Mods: I can't delete my posts
A

Quote From BilboBaggins:

I've never been able to delete my posts in normal threads. I don't think it's a facility on this board.

Personally I think that's a good thing. You can edit your post, if you really want to remove what you said. But it stops people deleting willy-nilly, and leading to incomplete/confusing threads as a result.

You are completely right!

I have PM'd Wally regarding the matter, but yes, if you read the sticky thread Sascha wrote about this matter, you will understand a little more.

We appreciate sometimes people want to retract statements, but this is an anonymous forum, and you choose what information you share with other users. To selectively delete once people have began a discussion would make a totally uninformative thread and therefore useless one.

Please try to refrain from deleting anything you write as this is what builds the Forum content and makes it useful for others.

Thanks,

Amy

The cat on the stairs
A

Quote From ubu:

I've been told cats hate citrus. So perhaps cover the stairs in lemons?

This does work, my Mum places oranges on the stairs to deter the cat.. it does work, but you must remember this when you are tired.. or there could be a massive accident!

completely off topic - chilli con carne
A

Sneaks, the quickest and simplest thing for you to do is buy a packet of chilli con carne mix! you add a bit of water... add to the pan, and bang.. your tomatoes are chillified!
