Oh dear!!!!
Just looked out the window after typing this and it's snowing!?!??!?!?!?!?!?
Why did I just say what I said below!!:-s
My heating is included and this is central London, so perhaps now I'll be shot dead, but I'm wearing
PJs
a sweater.
Will walk out in a bit to campus (also central London) wearing
underwear
tights
jeans on top
shoes
some top
sweater
coat
I sound underclad don't I?!:-(
Really nice ideas Joyce!
:-) Already on Amazon, looking for 2!
Thanks, my vote is for 2 too, and 3 is a contributed idea from someone else which I had to edit twice to express correctly :P

May I seek everyone's opinion on something sweet and nice in the midst of all the gloom and doom with the cuts and stuff?
If you were to receive a Christmas pressie, which one of these would strike you as truly sweet and thoughtful?
1. A box of chocolates (or whatever it is you like to eat)
2. A book that you'd surely like to read
3. A nice poem written about you and printed on crepe paper and bound into a handmade book(like a tiny 3 inch by 2 inch booklet of crepe paper with the poem spread over 10 of these tiny pages)
4. A collated and formatted record of your thoughts on say Topic X (let's say your expertise is in Jumbo Jets), so you can see how your musings and thoughts on your fave topic have developed with time.
Any ideas?
:-)
Sneaks be careful you might lose your stars if you speak up.... ;-)
Ok, so am a bit worried now that I have read the FB page for the walkout. I teach from 3 to 4.30, so perhaps not relevant, what if a flying picket team comes to my class or if all my students walk out?! I am supposed to be prepping them for writing their summative essays.:-s
yes there is, but am due to teach so us GTAs could not 'participate' even though of course we support the cause.
oh yummmm thanks you guys such lovely tips!!! Stars for all!!
hey guys, my soup turned out quite good actually, but it does need something more! Will check out the resources you suggest :)
Hey all, (Sneaks,I presume will have little interest in this specific one, as it related to veggies)
As I hibernate and pump out penultimate and final chapters this month, I seem to have taken to having my veggies as a noodle soup. Now, one can be lazy and use those Chinese soup powders that come in packs but bleearrgh I dont wanna consume MSG, and all those E numbers.
Any ideas for a soup base that I can make myself - today am trying out some garlic, ginger, chillies, lemon and mint with some paprika - dont know how it'll turn out.
But any thoughts on nice and tasty soup bases/flavours that will go with lots of veggies and noodle and that wontneed me consuming E numbers or MSG - most welcome!!
Thanks :)
1. Getting frustrated in some job somewhere as I am not made for anything but academia (research, that too)
2. No, definitely not.
