I wonder if each of us has a least favourite chapter? Mine was the political and cultural context one; urghh! Brought me out in spots!!
Anyway, to the point: I agree with the last post, and I added the study limitations to this chapter too. It seemed to make sense to foreground these. Good luck with it!

I also submitted 26th March! I've just had a mock viva and thought I'd share the questions as we'll probably be preparing at about the same time. So, here's what I was asked:
1 What is it about?
2 Rationale for sample choice
3 Ethics and anonymity
4 Trustworthiness and credibility of analysis
5 Explain the theoretical framework. Was it relevant?
6 How did you analyse data?
7 Influence of gender

I was advised to make a table with bullet-pointed answers to likely questions and the pages where the information can be found - it saves wading through umpteen sticky notes & (in my mind) looks a little classier!

This is only a gut feeling, but isn't the aim of all research to provide a platform for future research? The concluding chapter of a thesis should include recommendations for further research, so I don't really know if you can use this as a specific objective.

Mind you, I know nothing about software applications, so you might be better off speaking to someone within your field.

Yes, I think phoning is fine. If you're contacting UK universities they are pretty hard to contact over the summer but they should get going again mid September.

Are you looking for respondents from a specific organisation within that geographical area? Could you, for example, send the survey to colleges, schools, local businesses? It also depends on the size of the geographical area - I live in a miniscule dot according to Ordnance Survey maps, but you'd get over a thousand replies if you surveyed everyone here! It sounds very broad at the moment - can you give us any more detail to see if we can help a bit more?

It sounds like what you are doing is fine, but potential supervisors get a lot of these & they tend not to stand out much. I would highly recommend going to a post-grad open evening & speak with someone from the department you're interested in working in. That way you're more than just a name on an e-mail.
