Dear all,
Can anyone be able to assist on the following articles from sciencedirect?
My email is nerdy82 at yahoo.com.sg .
Thanks a lot.
1. Driven by passion according to him at the moment. Can proceed full time with scholarship. Do not mind the pay-cut factor.
2. Was told by general admission.
3. For funding, Yes. thanks for the information.
Overall the problem here is that he has a master degree w/o a basic degree which prevent him for getting a scholarship. But he got a full GPA nevertheless.
Yes Ian. It seem that school are less forgiving even if you have a good master grade w/o a bachelor. At least this is what my friend has suggested to me. As a ex group mate of him, I do need to vouch for his professional and critical thinking. He is good.
Hi chickpea & Ian,
The information and updates you have provided are valuable. My friend is starting to regret his decision that he should have done a b.degree instead. Certainly, I will update him on my findings. :)
And hopefully he can get into a University doing his PhD.
I have a friend with a master with years of experience and a diploma. He managed to score relatively well (full GPA) in his master program. He will like to continue w/ a PhD.
Is it possible?
I have given him my explanation that a master > degree, and therefore shouldn't be a issue when applying for a PhD.
Not sure if anyone could offer 2 cents worth.
Thanks a lot.
Hi, I feel the same and I'm glad to find this forum. I have sent several emails and very few actually reply me. I got a good GPA (HD) for my master and is looking for a scholarship (funding) for my pursue of PhD.
I will be completing my master in engineering. It is engineering & technology management. Looking at similar discipline in PhD as well.
Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.
Peter
I will be completing my MEng soon (hopefully with good grades). I am primarily interested in doing a PhD in engineering management, and have since dropped a few emails to some school in Singapore, Australia and Hong Kong. Purposes of email is to ask whether there is any project which the faculty supervisor might have and find me suitable. I am not sure if what I’m doing is correct. Or if I should think of a topic myself, draft an proposal and do the necessary application.
I would appreciate any kind person to advise me how to go around it.
Thanks a lot.
Peter
