sounds rather depressing. you kinda felt stabbed in the back didn't you?
to be fair, the supervisors may not know this themselves.
so now that you've only got 4 months left: clear your head, go and have a nice long chat with your supervisor (s).
if they are still not helpful, I guess you will either have to ask for some ideas from your colleages/postdoc in group or anybody doing PhD or recently finished PhD.
Perhaps have a quick look through their thesis and see what kind of data they show (in terms of details relative to the subject) and compare that to yours. work out what you've got to do for improve yours. I'm sure you've got most of it there. What he meant could be just some minor detail that would enhance the PhD much more which may be lacking.
It is extremely difficult to be starting any experiments within four months but it is feasible. some people does that while they've still got to write their thesis! some just don't really have any choice really.
Don't lose hope! At least you still have some time!!
it is pretty tough having supervisors who cannot guide you so well but in this case you've just got to kick it and keep going.
why not try again? but build your profile & make it strong
No I don't think it matters.
I know someone who did a PhD in Plant using ChIP
and he is now doing a post-doc on mammalian reproduction.
So I don't think you will be stuck with what you did in the past.
Let your imagination and passion set you free. Go for it (if it is a really good deal)
why don't you do it chapter by chapter? one chapter a day? so u dont feel overwhelmed at the amount

No definitely. You should spare a few days for that.
Only you know best and can do the job well.
Don't waste money and time on getting someone to correct what you know best.
I wouldn't do it if I were you.
If you are not the brightest student but you are from a very good college.
You applied for a PhD, got offer that only pays your tuition fee and research consumables..
But the lab is incredibly good and has good reputation.
The only bad point is they don't pay you salary.
But you are able to pay that anyway because you have enough family resources.
They required you to answer them within a few days and you already said yes...
Please help to vote!!
And I don't know if there are anybody out there who is trying to not depend on their parents by finding your own way and try to ask for their money as little as possible?
Can you share experience maybe? I just feel like a failure to still be dependent on them...(although I am still quite young)
Does anyone know the differences between these two terms: fellowship vs scholarship.
How are they different?
Thanks so much!
Is the one you recommended for the French-speaking community?
What about the flemish?

Hi everyone.
I decided to edit this message because I think I should believe in myself more instead of asking for opinions which may change my mind/make me feel bad. sorry to make you come in! (since nobody replied anyway in the first place)
