1) Of course based on your disciplinary background. Although, the main part depends on your grades - anything less than a 2:i will make it difficult in my opinion.
2) It depends on what aspect of renewable energy - the design? public acceptability? Once you know which aspects you are interested in this will help you to focus on disciplines (e.g. if designing turbines then engineering)

I've used both and both work (you have to write in a way that removes the awkwardness/spelling out of results of 1st study in methodology in terms of you 2nd structure but it can be done). It depends on you stand point - for mixed-method stuff the 2nd can be best, but personally i much prefer the 1st, sequential discussion as it shows fluid progression. But, it doesn't really matter. I'd go with whatever your supervisor says and ask them how to overcome any associated problems you think you will have with their approach.
Hi everyone, I applied for a UK civil service job but didn't get the initial position. However, it wasn't framed as a rejection - they said that they are pleased to say i performed well that I passed the interview and have put me on the reserve list. They say they hope to employ me in the next 6 months. Do you think I have much chance of getting a job?
Thanks!
Sam
Hi - this is extremely common. I had no clue what I was going to focus on until around 10 months in. Don't get stressed about it - if you can identify a great topic, with loads to contribute it will pay dividends in the end.. Write down as many questions as you can think of as you read - then eliminate, shape them etc
Hi - firstly, don't be so harsh on yourself. Often these things are a two-way process and its easy for one person to take the blame... I'm not a relationship expert though of course.
My recommendation would be clearly defined structures - work the hours he works (8 till 6 if that is when he leaves and comes back) anything outside of that forget about it - relax.. Go to the gym outside of your set working hours. I try to do this as much as I can and you can be as productive as spending all the time on it. Cut your paid work back as much as you can. Easier said than done of course.
