Morning all. I didn't quite get my job application finished yesterday but almost.
Right now my goal for the morning is to really get stuck into my case for support document. I'm finding it all a bit daunting and want to feel like I've made some progress with it.
Don't worry about taking time off if you're feeling unwell Batfink. You seem to work enough over the weekends to make up for the odd unplanned day off!
I'm now back at my desk after the dentists and the gym. This evening I need to finish this job application so that tomorrow all I have to do is proofread and submit it.
The majority of my references (except for ones I have to spend time looking up) are now inserted into a word document. That'll do for now.
My goal for the rest of the afternoon is to put together a job application.
My first goal is done (I am chipping away at this very, very slowly). My next goal is to continue with the references for my thesis.
Morning all. My first goal today is to start on my case for support.
Well done Reeree!
I'm quite tired and have reached the point where I'm not going to get much further with my writing today so I'm abandoning my second goal. My goal for the rest of the day is to chase up some missing references and then to see how far I get inserting references from the thesis into a word document using refworks (it has been slow going so far).
My second goal is (again, roughly) done. I'm mainly just writing a load of rubbish which I will expand and then probably have to completely re-write :$
My next goal is to start on the 'pathways to impact' document.
My first goal is (very roughly) done, my next goal is to start drafting out the impact summary.
Morning! I've just finished my morning driving lesson which I actually found quite relaxing because it blocks everything else out while I'm focusing!
But now back to work. My first goal is to start drafting out the summary section of my proposal.
Well done Batfink!
Right, I have spent the morning reading around. My next goal is to actually start writing. Anything will do at this stage- I think I'll start with whatever section seems the easiest!
Morning all. Sounds like you both made some progress over the weekend!
Today I really need to get started writing a grant proposal. My first goal is to read around and have more of a think about what the project will actually be!
Good luck Batfink, and enjoy your beer this afternoon! I'm looking forward to a cider and a movie once my work/housework/revision for my driving theory test (Saturdays are so exhausting!) is done.
I am now happy with the content of the paper. I'm feeling like a right idiot for not sorting this out and submitting it sooner! My next goal is change the format of the references etc to fit in with the journal's requirements.
Morning all. Good luck with the lit review Sneaks.
Today I am sorting out a paper for a publication. It was rejected a while ago but won't actually need that much work to send it somewhere else but I've just not found the time yet. My first goal is to read through and do any edits to the content.
Sorry to hear you're having a tough day. I'm also going to be working over the weekend, if it makes you feel any better!
I've now gone through the second data chapter. I'm still not entirely convinced there aren't changes to be made, but will see how I feel about it once I've printed it and out and read it, which I'll do next week.
I *should* carry on working and prepare a manuscript for publication (have been meaning to do this for ages) but I'm losing concentration so I'll tackle it tomorrow.
My first goal is done. Turns out that my least favourite data chapter isn't that bad at all (its amazing what a bit of distance gained from some time away does). My next goal is to read through a second data chapter and make some changes.
