I would imagine almost certainty not (unless you mean a 1+3 that is).

So just out of interest then, why would anyone go to Nottingham then (as opposed to a University offering 'the direct route')?

From Masters to PhD....

In all seriousness, I thought I gave sound advice. I bought a couple of Masters Project self-help books at the time and found them very helpful. I don't really subscribe to the 'quick fix' school of advice, if thats what you were looking for.

I tend to agree with the 'd' business. Not a good habit to get into. Makes you look a bit juvenile if anything. Absolutely no offense intended.

Its the wrong Forum (as previously stated) AND there are plenty of good self-help books around for doing Masters projects. Do a trawl of Amazon UK.

Questions like these rarely get an answer. You best option is to spend some time searching google.

Thats very unlikely as you can see by the lack of feedback. And no ones going to do the 'leg work' for you on here. I suggest you do it yourself.

There's a fair bit (and more) on the complexities of obtaining a PhD by publication on here. I suggest you read it before anyone gets too carried away. From memory, the genre typically applies to individuals with a considerable reputation (and publication history) in their chosen field. Its not in any respect seen as a short cut for the average PhDer.

It must be the stress. I thought you said "enables you to complete your PhD in less than a year at a reputable University while also getting yourself published."

ARGH! Laptop nicked and insurers won't pay out

Here's an interesting tit tip bit that I picked up from a lady pal that works for the Police. When your Insurance company contacts the Police re your incident (say a burglary) all they get is the Crime Number. Nothing else. No other details. So whatever you tell the Police isn't passed on. If the Insurance company tries to make out that it knows all the details that the Police took they're fibbing. One to bear in mind when you're next thinking of committing Insurance fraud (now where's that canoe).
