Hi everyone1
I need to write formal letters to various experts to secure a chance to interview them for my thesis.
I need to make the letter as formal as possible because these people i want to interview are all either judges or government officials or queen's counsels... just the thought of seeing them in person freaks me out!
I tried to get sample letters online but couldn't find anything relevant! (the search hits were all job interview letters samples gosh!)
Does anyone know how to write a formal (polite, professional) letter asking for an interview? or if not, anyone know where i can get a sample or information on how to write one???
Grateful for ANY help!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plzzzzzzzzzz
Hihi everyone!
I started my PhD 2 weeks ago~!
I just had my first meeeting with my supervisor!
Almost suffered a nervous breakdown when i was waiting for him at the lodge for over 15 mins!!!!!! (well, i got there early haha!)
He was definitely a lot a lot younger and thinner than i expected him to be~! hahaha~
The chat went reallly well and i felt sooo secured to have him!
OHOHOH, i also got my first "task" to do...
a bit difficult, am a bit lost here i must confess...
i have to put my 100K thesis into a one pager!
any advice on how to start???
thanksssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Thanksss for your replies...
Yup, i dun think i would qualify for the HSMP...
but i was just wondering if my 3 year PhD can count towards the years i need to serve in order to get residency...
so i guess based on SixKitten's experience, i wouldnt have to do anything until i graduate from PhD and get a job in UK rite?
Has any non-UK nationals applied (or any one heard of others applying?) for PR or citizenship while they are doing their PhD in UK? just wondering if it is feasible?
I'm thinking of staying in UK after my 3-year PhD, so am considering the option of settlement here...
any light?
