First thing I would suggest is to look at your passport and see which of those countries you can work in. That is most likely the defining point for which is the best country for you.
Job wise you will almost always get paid more in the US, but you have to consider the benefits outside of pay. I don't know about EE in particular but there is a very big difference in the work ethic from the UK to US. Factor in such things as cost of living, cost and QUALITY of health care etc etc.
You cant just give a binary answer to such a question.
Worry more about having a good lock on the front door. The majority of locks on the front doors of student houses can be bypassed in 10 seconds without damage to the lock, so that your insurance most likely wont cover your lost possessions.
And by good lock I mean like one from Kaba, Medeco, Mul-T-Lock, Schlage and BiLock. All the others can be easily bumped.
This topic has been covered many times over. Search back through the forum for more detail. But to paraphrase, Not much funding at all for non-EU students. Best bet is to check this forum's parent site www.findaphd.com
Good luck in finding one.
